Baptism

We offer baptism to the infants of parents with a confident faith. For parents who are less certain of their faith, but understand that every child is unique and is a gift from God, a thanksgiving service is a more appropriate alternative.

One of the important aspects of these services is welcoming those who are being baptised into the family of God. As such, we hold Baptisms and Thanksgivings as part of our Sunday morning worship, when the church family are gathered and can extend that welcome and support those coming for these services.

Please come along, in the first instance, to one of our 10.30am services and talk to the Vicar, David Salter, about arranging a service.

Weddings

We would be very happy to discuss your wedding plans with you and we hope we can help with your preparations. We’re passionate about marriage and want to help you to invest in your marriages to give them the very best chance of lasting a lifetime. For that reason, even if you’re marrying in a special church that’s not where you live, as your local church, we’d still love to support you as you prepare for your wedding.

St Mary’s, Chipping Norton, part of our Benefice, run a Marriage Preparation Course which we recommend all our wedding couples attend. It is designed to help couples who are considering marriage and wishing to build a strong and lasting relationship. During the day you cover 5 sessions - everything from communication to resolving conflict. You are given a chance to discuss each topic with your partner and nothing is shared with the group. Coffee, cake and lunch is provided.

if you’re wondering if you can marry in one of our churches, in the first instance, please direct any enquiries to Sam Shaw in the Church Office: email or call on 01608 652888.
